About
It’s the non-romantic comedy of the year. Heartbreak and hilarity. Too much sex talk from a self-confessed 26-year-old virgin. The Tinder date without the messy bits.
Autism is no laughing matter, but laugh is exactly what Brisbane cabaret performer Oliver Hetherington-Page wants audiences to do.
The No Bang Theory is ready to charm the pants off Brisbane with stories, show tunes and a series of sparkly jackets. Fresh from captivating audiences in Adelaide, Darwin, the Gold Coast and Bundaberg, it’s Brisbane Festival's turn to witness this heartbreaking and hilarious, but always honest look at life on the autism spectrum.
If life serves you lemons, make cabaret. He’s been excluded and bullied and called all the ableist slurs in the book, but he’s survived and ready to set the record straight.
Join us as Matilda award-winning performer Oliver Hetherington-Page debunks the myths of 'cute' autism perpetuated through popular culture favourites such as The Big Bang Theory.
And don’t be fooled by the title, The No Bang Theory is packed with more banging show tunes than a night of karaoke. Plus, sex talk. And dodgy dancing.
Oliver is "single and circulating” and invites you to join the wild ride!
